Police: Pair swipes medicine, lobster, meat from Giant

The theft happened Thursday in Wind Gap

WIND GAP., Pa. - Authorities in Northampton County are investigating a reported shoplifting that netted more than $1,000 worth of medicine, meat and seafood from a Slate Belt grocery store.

The Slate Belt Regional Police Department reports that the theft took place shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday from the Giant grocery store at 837 Male Road in Wind Gap. A man and a woman entered the store and allegedly stole more than $1,500 in over-the-counter medications, meat, lobster and shrimp.

After walking out of the store, the pair left in a newer model black Ford Explorer. The vehicle was last seen setting onto southbound Route 33 in Wind Gap.
