Police: Whitehall man had many pornographic images of young children

Man viewied images of girls as young as 3 years-old, authorities said

WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. - A Whitehall man has been arrested for allegedly viewing and downloading online pornographic images of children as young as 3 years of age, according to court documents.

David Allen Kohut, 54, of the 2000 block of North 1st Ave., is facing charges that include possession and distribution of child pornography.

Police discovered Kohut's alleged criminal activity while conducting an Internet investigation into child pornography, court documents say. During this online investigation, police said they traced a downloaded pornographic image of a girl between the age of 8 and 10 to a computer in Kohut's home, according to court documents.

On Tuesday, police executed search warrant at Kohut's home, at which time they found dozens of child pornography videos on computer devices, according to court documents.

Police said Kohut admitted to viewing child pornography videos "every couple days," which have included images of children as young as 3-4 years-old,

Kohut was being held on $500,000 bail.
