PPL customers to receive tax refund

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - PPL Electric Utilities customers are benefiting with a refund from federal tax changes.

According to PPL Electric Utilities, PPL customers will receive a monthly refund of 7.05 percent on the base distribution portion of their bill.

The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission had originally instructed PPL to provide a refund and the commission granted permission for an even larger refund than originally expected.

An average residential customer using 1,000 kilowatt-hours a month will save around $3.48 per month on distribution charges, according to PPL.
