President of Cedar Crest College steps down

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Cedar Crest College is looking for a new president.

The Allentown college announced Tuesday that its current president, Carmen Twillie Ambar, is stepping down after nine years.

Ambar is headed to Oberlin College and Conservatory in Ohio, where she will be president.

In the meantime, Cedar Crest's current provost, Dr. Elizabeth Meade, will fill in as interim president for the next two years.

During that time, the college will look for a permanent replacement.
