An indictment against Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski was unsealed Wednesday, revealing more about the federal charges he's facing.

The indictment comes after a more than two-year probe into Allentown City Hall.

The feds had been looking into allegations of corruption at city hall.

Four others are also facing charges. Lawyer Scott Allinson, business consultant James Hickey, former Reading Mayor Vaughn Spencer, and Rebecca Acosta, a Reading councilman's wife, have all been indicted in the case, according to the court documents.

Eleven others were charged previously in a pay-to-play scheme that authorities say involved the exchange of city contracts for campaign contributions

The mayor had been implicated several times, but not charged, until now.

The mayor has not commented on the indictment, but Pawlowski and Attorney Jack McMahon will hold a news conference Wednesday at 4:30.

Pawlowski has maintained his innocence.
