Record 31 schools to participate in 2014 FREDDY Awards

Salisbury HS starts the season with November production

A record number of high schools have signed on to participate in the 2014 FREDDY Awards program, which starts in November.

Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School of Allentown is the newest addition to the lineup of schools participating in the 12th annual recognition of excellence in the production and performance of high school musical theater.

Salisbury High School will start the season with its production of Curtains on November 8, 9 and 10.

The majority of high schools present spring musicals, generally February – May.

A complete list of  2014 participating high schools and tickets information will be released in January.

The FREDDY Awards ceremony will be broadcast live on WFMZ Channel 69 and wfmz.com on Thursday, May 22 at 7 p.m. from the State Theatre in Easton.
