Renovations kick off at former Allentown furniture store

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A construction kick-off party at a building that dates back a century took place Thursday in Allentown.

The former Schoen's Furniture store on Hamilton Street is being renovated into the "Trifecta Building."

Lower Macungie-based Trifecta Technologies and an Allentown construction firm will move into the building next spring.

It's located inside Allentown's Neighborhood Improvement Zone.

The NIZ is a district with tax breaks designed to attract businesses.
