Residents at Country Meadows use wheelchairs to make art

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Wheelchairs aren't just for getting around; they can also be used to make art.

That's exactly what residents did at Country Meadows of Bethlehem Wednesday afternoon.

They worked on creating a Jackson-Pollock inspired painting.

Employees at Country Meadows say events like these combine fitness and art therapy.

"It really brings on a soothing. It's something that everybody can do. All the artwork we do here is so they can be successful," said Amie Federico, connections coordinator.

Employees say they hope to make big art projects like this one a monthly event.
