Residents digging out in Lehigh County

VIDEO Families digging out in Lehigh...

HOKENDAUQUA, Pa. - In Hokendauqua, snow removal is a family affair.

"My dad started the snow blower and I started shoveling on the ground breaking the snow off into little pieces," said 7-year-old Cole Collins.

Cole, his father, Jake and grandpa, Phil are swinging shovels and swapping stories, like the first time Phil brought a young Jake out to shovel.

"It was quite a while ago," said Phil Collins. "He is 35 years old now, I remember the storm of '96."

"We didn't do much shoveling, just a lot of playing," said Jake Collins.

But the Collins family is not alone.

If you drove through just about any neighborhood in Lehigh County Wednesday, you would find someone digging out.

While most people's minds are on finishing the job and getting back inside, the Collin's family has other plans.

"We will probably make snowballs and fight," said Cole.
