Second victim identified in fatal Allentown shooting

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The coroner has identified the second victim in a deadly double shooting in Allentown Tuesday.

The Lehigh County coroner said Keith Minick, 24, and Richard Vera Jr., 28, were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Allentown police said they were gunned down at the intersection of North 4th and Washington streets just after noon.

Investigators say the men's deaths are homicides.

The intersection of N. 4th and Washington was roped off as a crime scene for much of the afternoon.

Detectives went door-to-door talking with neighbors.

An armored police vehicle and heavily armed officers could be seen surrounding a building near where the shooting happened.

Officers broke down a door and went inside but police say there is no word on suspects.

Autopsies are scheduled for Wednesday.
