Security cameras show footage of Bethlehem shooting incident

VIDEO: Security footage shows...

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Bethlehem police say a man in his late teens is in the hospital after being shot several times early Thursday morning.

The security footage shows two men walking past the Boost Mobile on Bethlehem's Irene Street just after 2:30 a.m.

About 90 seconds later a man can be seen firing a gun several times with another man running toward him.

Police say this shooting resulted in a teen being shot several times.

Boost employee Jasmine Carnes says she was unnerved coming into work this morning with police still investigating.

"It was a little weird coming off the bus and seeing the police walking around the store," she said.

Investigators say the teen was hit in the chest and leg.

Police say the victim was then driven to his parents' home in the 600 block of Abbe Court, about half a mile away in Freemansburg, and later found by officers.

Freemansburg police say a neighbor could be heard yelling 'call 911.'

The victim was then taken to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Back in front of Boost Mobile, glass, tire marks and what looks to be a bullet hole in the Dunkin Donuts drive-thru sign highlight what happened, as does the video clearly showing the middle-of-the-night nightmare situation.

Police have not commented on a motive. However, neighbors say there is a recording studio behind the Boost Mobile that keeps late hours.

Anyone with information about the shooting or anyone involved is asked to contact Det. Brad Jones with the Bethlehem Police Department at 610-865-7187 or call the Bethlehem Police Tip Line at 610-691-6660.
