Single lane traffic patterns return to Easton-Phillipsburg Toll Bridge

Officials: Motorists should expect traffic delays

EASTON, Pa. - Around-the-clock single-lane travel patterns will go into effect Monday in both directions of Route 22 in the area of the Easton-Phillipsburg Toll Bridge, according to the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.

Officials say the lane closures are needed so crews can continue work to rehabilitate the bridge.

The single-lane traffic patterns are expected to remain in place in both directions until mid-December.

Officials say there will be traffic delays, especially during the morning and evening commutes.

The commission is urging motorists to consider alternate routes, including I-78.
