Sinkhole forces Whitehall family to flee home

WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. - A sinkhole in Lehigh County has forced a family to leave its home. The hole opened up in January in the 1200 block of Mickley Road.

When 69 News stopped by to check it out Monday, the family was packing up to move elsewhere.

They said the foundation of their home is cracked and they said they can't seem to get help from anyone.

"Our house is falling apart. It has fallen apart," said Barbara Adams. "It's very expensive when you have to pay out of pocket you know. So I doubt if I'll ever buy another house. I see myself renting from now on, I'm just so disappointed with this whole ordeal."

The Adams' said their neighbors are also dealing with similar problems.
