South Whitehall seeks citizen-friendly office renovations

SOUTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. - The South Whitehall Township Board of Commissioners is looking to make its township administrative office a more open space for citizens and businesses in the community.

"Our hope with the [renovations] is to make the entrance to the township a little more resident and business friendly," said Board President Christina Tori Morgan.
"The lobby would be renovated to include one point of service contact with residents," said Director of Administration Howard Kutzler.

According to officials, the renovated administrative center will provide a "one stop shop" for citizens to pay bills, file for permits and seek general assistance.

At Wednesday's meeting, the board unanimously voted to open bidding on the Municipal Building lobby renovations project.

In other business, the board approved a land development plan for the expansion of Coordinated Health with the addition of a Corporate Center.

"It is our intention to get this all in early spring here to minimize the disruption to the business," said real estate representative Erin Kintzer.

Currently stationed at 1621 and 1631 Cedar Crest Boulevard, the medical center is seeking to extend into an additional six-story building at the 1641 address.

Medical and business activities, with additional parking spaces, will be featured at the new address.

The South Whitehall board also approved an eight-year-old plan to bring an additional car wash to 4540 Broadway at the meeting.

The board will meet next on April 2nd.
