Southern Lehigh student in custody after allegedly making threats

UPPER SAUCON TWP., Pa. - A Southern Lehigh High School juvenile student is in custody after allegedly making threats against the school, according to District Attorney Jim Martin.

School administrators contacted the Upper Saucon Police Department Wednesday after a letter was given to high school staff in which threats were made.

Students at the school were evacuated to DeSales University and have since been dismissed for the day. K-9 sweeps by the police detected no threats.

Martin says the investigation indicated the juvenile is the source of the threat, but there is no known threat to the community, school, students or staff.
