St. Luke's nursing students help make end of summer brighter

Some kids in the Bethlehem area are ready for school thanks to nursing students at St. Luke's.

The Student Nurses Association from the St. Luke's School of Nursing handed out backpacks full of school supplies Tuesday as part of the "Backpacks to Brighten" project.

The organizers were able to give 100 bags to students as well as mothers going back to school.

All of the items were donated.

This is the fifth year for the "Backpacks to Brighten" program.
