State funding for Allentown School District reinstated

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A state senator says a nearly $1.5 million check is heading to the Allentown School District.

Senator Pat Browne says before passing the budget, the State House took out mention of the $1.45 million allotment for Allentown schools.

Now Browne says an amendment was later added to the budget reinstating those funds.

And Browne says the exact amount could end up being higher than the original figure.
