Students celebrate return of hometown hero

A hometown hero has returned home to a warm welcome from a local elementary school.

The St. Joseph the Worker School community held a ceremony Friday morning to honor Sean Boyle for his military service to our country. Boyle recently returned from an active duty tour in Africa and reunited with his wife and three daughters.

"While their father has been away, their lives have gone on, even though they didn't know where their dad was at certain times, and it was really hard for them, but just seeing the smile on their face every day just really inspired all of us," said Sheena Kuczynski, a fourth grade teacher.

The event paid tribute to Boyle and all those who serve our country with a flag-raising ceremony, wreath-laying, and a balloon launch.
