Students learn emergency preparedness at Easton's Cheston Elementary

EASTON, Pa. - Students at Easton's Cheston Elementary School got a lesson in emergency preparedness Friday.

The event was organized by volunteers from the American Red Cross, United Way and Victaulic.

Fifth graders were given emergency supplies and taught what to do if they are ever involved in a disaster.

Organizers say it's important to teach emergency preparedness at a young age.
