Suspect in deadly stabbing claims it was self defense

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - An Allentown man accused of stabbing his girlfriend to death claims he acted in self-defense.

Jonathan Schaffer stabbed his girlfriend, Lauren Wolstenholme, on Saturday at their apartment on South 18th Street, police said.

Schaffer, 31, told police that Wolstenholme was coming at him with a knife, so he stabbed her, according to court documents.

An autopsy was performed on Wolstenholme on Monday, but the results have not yet been released.
