Suspected drunk driver crashes car, flees

UPPER MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. - Police allege the 18-year-old driver in a hit-and-run in Lehigh County was driving drunk.

State police responded Friday morning to a report of a hit-and-run crash on Spring Creek Road near Route 100 in Lower Macungie Township.

Officials said they spotted the fleeing car getting on I-78 east from Route 100 north.

After stopping him, police determined the driver, Darius Grant, of Bethlehem, was driving while under the influence of alcohol.

State police said DUI and other charges will be filed after they get blood test results.
