Suspects pose as security guards in Moravian University armed robbery

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Bethlehem and Moravian Campus police are searching for two males accused of an early morning armed robbery at Hassler Dorm.

Police say around 2 a.m. Thursday morning two males knocked on a door on the 3rd floor of the dorm and identified themselves as “Campus Safety.”

When the occupants opened the door, police say two men, one armed with a pistol, forced their way into the room.

Police do not say what was stolen or what occurred in the room.

Police note that even though the crime allegedly occurred at 2 a.m. it was not reported until 12:30 p.m., 10 hours later.

Preliminary investigations, police say, indicate the crime was not a random act.

Authorities ask anyone with information to call Bethlehem Police Department Detectives at 610-865-7187 or the Moravian Campus Police at 610-861-1421.
