Teen sentenced for shooting girl near Allen HS

Shatiek Ransome will spend 4-10 yrs in jail.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A teenager who pleaded guilty in connection with shooting a 15-year-old girl is going to jail.

Shatiek Ransome was sentenced Monday to four to 10 years in prison for a shooting near William Allen High School in December 2012.

Police said the victim was wounded in the leg but survived.

Ransome, 17, pleaded guilty in August to aggravated assault and conspiracy charges.

Another person involved in the shooting -- 19-year-old Hanson Gordon -- pleaded guilty to a charge of conspiracy to commit assault and was sentenced previously to three-and-a-half to 10 years in prison.
