ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Family members of Steven Santiago and Adrian Ramirez held each other tightly outside of the Lehigh County Courthouse Wednesday afternoon.
The couple was brutally murdered in front of their home on Hall Street in Allentown in December 2011.
Their four-year-old daughter was awakened by the gunfire.
"She goes through a lot of drama at night," said Rachel Martinez, Santiago's mother.
Police said John Boyd and Tykweis Wade are responsible for the shooting.
Wade was just 16 at the time of the murders.
Now 18, Wade appeared for his sentencing on Wednesday, after pleading guilty to two counts of third degree murder.
The teenager now faces 15 to 40 years in prison.
Boyd was sentenced 40 to 80 years on Tuesday.
"Both of these men pleaded guilty and justice prevailed today," said Charles Gallagher, Lehigh County Chief District Attorney.
"I am not totally satisfied. But at least we got two murderers off of the street," said Marilyn Ramirez, Adrian Ramirez's sister.
Wade told the victims' families he was sorry for the pain he caused, especially to the young girl.
Family members said they're comforted by Wade's remorse and empathetic for his family, but they wish there was more they could do to protect a little girl, who no longer has her parents, from having to suffer again.
"She's young. I'm afraid one day she might meet one of these guys, the younger one. I don't know how she'll react to him," Martinez said.
Police believe a dispute over an affair led to the shooting.
