Time capsule opened as part of Slatington 150th anniversary

SLATINGTON, Pa. - Residents and officials in one Lehigh County community turned back time Monday.

A time capsule from 1964 was unsealed in Slatington.

It was done as part of the community's 150th anniversary celebration.

Among the things inside the capsule were a newspaper featuring the borough's 100th anniversary, a Bible and some coins.

The capsule had been placed inside a wall of the former Acme building, which today is the home of Dorward's Electric.
