Township OKs plans for dinosaurs to come alive in theme park

SOUTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. - Dorney Park is going prehistoric.

Township commissioners in South Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, have approved the construction of Dinosaurs Alive!

The attraction will feature 40 animatronic dinosaurs lining a walkway in the park.

Officials said the exhibit will be similar to one at Cedar Fair's Kings Island in Ohio.

Officials with Dorney Park said there will be an additional fee for Dinosaurs Alive!, but the price hasn't been determined yet.

More details are expected to be released next spring.
