Trade forum held in Allentown

Trade forum held in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Trade was the topic of discussion in Allentown on Monday.

The National Association of Manufacturers and Thermo Fisher Scientific co-hosted a trade forum this afternoon.

Attendees discussed the importance of trade to growing Pennsylvania's economy.

We talked to one manufacturer who said it's pretty simple: More trade means more jobs for Pennsylvania.

"Trade really is important for supporting tens of thousands of jobs across the state and is something where we see an opportunity to really contribute to job growth through exports," said Chris Moore, National Association of Manufacturers.

U.S. Rep. Charlie Dent, R-Berks County/Lehigh Valley, was on hand for the forum, along with representatives from Lutron Electronics and Air Products.
