Tractor trailer filled with lighters and butane catches fire East Allen

Trailer filled with lighters and...

EAST ALLEN TWP., Pa. - Crews were called to a fire in East Allen Township, Northampton County, after a tractor trailer filled with 5,000 pounds of lighters and butane caught fire and exploded.

Officials say the trailer caught fire around 10 a.m. at 6955 Chrisphalt Drive, near Township Line Road in East Allen Township. The address is listed as Central Transport. The fire spread to two other tractor trailers and a structure. 

More than 20 fire companies were called to the scene. 

Officials say there is no threat to the public.

No injuries have been reported, according to officials.
