Tree-climbing lesson part of students' Arbor Day celebration

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Some local students are going out on a limb to celebrate Arbor Day.

Third grade students at Clearview Elementary School in Bethlehem marked the annual holiday Friday morning.

The kids were taught the proper way to climb a tree by experts from Joshua Tree in Stockertown, and if they made it to the top, they could help themselves to some candy.

Bethlehem Mayor Bob Donchez was on hand for all the fun, and he accepted two awards from the Arbor Day Foundation on behalf of the city.
