Truck loaded with concrete flips off Route 378

LOWER SAUCON TWP., Pa. - An accident left a concrete-hauling  truck on on its side along Route 378 in Northampton County Tuesday afternoon

Initial reports were that a driver was trapped inside the truck, which went off the road near the Saucon Valley Square shopping center in Lower Saucon Township.

The truck reportedly hit another vehicle from behind, then rolled.

The driver of the truck was being taken to a hospital. No word yet on any other injuries.

One lane is getting by on Route 378, but the road will have to be closed to remove the truck, which is loaded with cement.

The accident occurred around 1:45 p.m. near the entrance to Starters and Revolution.
