Supervisors OK Fields at Indian Creek deadline extension

The Fields at Indian Creek now has until February 16, 2018, to submit preliminary plans for the next phases of its development.

The Upper Milford Board of Supervisors voted 3-0 to approve extending the deadline for the 55-and-older housing community to submit its plans at its Thursday meeting. The original deadline was October 30.

The Fields at Indian Creek, which will feature 217 single-family housing units, is planning its development in five phases. Thursday night’s vote extended the deadline for planning the latter three phases.

Supervisor Robert Sentner made a motion at the meeting, which was unanimously passed, to submit a letter to Lower Macungie Township and Emmaus, the other two municipalities that the housing development encompasses.

Sentner said that the township should ask the other two municipalities to form, along with Upper Milford, a Joint Planning Commission to discuss any issues involving the Fields at Indian Creek.
