Vehicle narrowly misses homes after overturning in Allentown

Driver rushed to hospital in critical condition

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - One person was rushed to the hospital after a wild accident in an alley in Allentown.

It happened at around 8:30 p.m. Saturday on Railroad Street.

The overturned vehicle came so close to hitting several homes.

Initial reports were that a victim was in "very critical condition."

On Monday, Assistant Allentown Police Chief George Medero reported the unidentified driver remains hospitalized, but had no updated information about his condition.

Medero said the driver appeared to have a medical condition and was recovering from a recent medical treatment.

Police are investigating whether prescription drugs may have been a factor in causing the accident. Charges are pending toxicology report results.
