Vets: Dog injured in Lehigh Twp. shooting to make full recovery

WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. - A dog hurt in the shooting that ultimately led to Bethlehem Area School District lockdowns is on the mend.

Valley Central Veterinary Clinic in Whitehall Township, Lehigh County is caring for a dog owned by Joseph and Melinda Mullner.

The dog, named Chloe, was shot in the paw.

She had surgery and vets tell 69 News she'll make a full recovery.

Police say the dog's owner, Joseph Mullner Jr., was killed after being shot at his Lehigh Township home Wednesday night. His wife Melinda was also shot and taken to the hospital.

Mullner's cousin - John Hann - has been arrested in the case.
