Whitehall Walmart launches online grocery pickup

WHITEHALL, Pa. - Grocery shopping will soon get a whole lot easier for some Lehigh Valley shoppers.

Walmart will launch its online grocery pickup service at the Supercenter at 2601 MacArthur Road in Whitehall this week. The free service starts Wednesday, May 3.

Here's how it works:

Customers can go to or the Walmart Grocery mobile app. They can enter their zip code to find a local store and create their shopping lists. During checkout, customers select a time to pick up their orders.

A trained personal grocery shopper will fill the order once it is placed.

Customers should go to the pickup location at the selected time. They can park in the reserved orange parking spaces and use the designated number to call the store. An employee will then bring out the prepared order and load it into the customer's car.
