Whole Foods Market investigates payment card data breach

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Whole Foods Market has received information regarding unauthorized access of payment card information used at certain venues.

These venues -- such as taprooms and full table-service restaurants -- use a different point of sale system than Whole Food's primary store checkout systems. Therefore, the primary store checkout systems were not affected.

People who've used their cards at the Whole Foods located at 750 N. Krocks Road in Allentown at the coffee bar, pizza venue, sandwich venue and tap room should monitor their payment card statements and report any unauthorized charges.

According to a news release from the company, Whole Foods launched an investigation with the help of a leading cyber security forensics firm and contacted law enforcement.

The investigation is ongoing and Whole Foods will provide additional updates as more information comes forward.
