Wilson police investigate armed robbery

WILSON, Pa. - Police in Northampton County are looking for a man accused of stealing a woman's purse at gunpoint.

A 24-year-old woman told police she was walking on the 2000 block of Ealer Avenue in the borough of Wilson around 11:30 p.m. Friday night when a man came up behind her.

She said the man stuck what she believed to be a gun in her back and said, "Let it go."

The woman told police she dropped her purse and ran away. Police said they searched the area but did not find the man.

The suspect is described as a thin, black male about 5-foot-10, wearing a gray sweatshirt, dark sweat pants and possibly having cornrow-style hair.

No injuries were reported.
