Woman charged with trying to snatch elderly woman's purse

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Allentown police have filed charges against a woman they say hurt an elderly woman while trying to snatch her purse.

Thirty-nine-year-old Tabitha Dugan is facing robbery, assault and other charges.

Police say an 83-year-old woman was waiting for a bus in the 700 block of Hanover Avenue Sunday when Dugan attempted to snatch her purse.

The victim fell to the ground and hurt her head.

Witnesses at the scene held down the attacker until the police arrived.

The victim was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
