Woman scammed into paying for apartment that doesn't exist

OREFIELD, Pa. - An Orefield woman paid for an apartment, only later to realize that the apartment does not exist, according to police.

The victim, 19, forwarded money intended to pay for an apartment to unknown characters, but never heard from these individuals again.

According to police, it does not appear as though the apartment even exists.

Police are not sure how many suspects they are looking for.

Upper Macungie Township Police are continuing to investigate.
