Woman's body found on parkway

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A woman's body was found in the Lehigh Parkway Monday morning.

Officials said the body was found in the Little Lehigh Creek between the Robin Hood bridge and the Lehigh Parkway around 9 a.m.

The coroner has identified the woman as Rhonda Russ, 47, of the 800 block of Jefferson Street in Allentown.

There were no obvious signs of trauma to the body.

She was wearing street clothes and did not appear to be homeless, officials said.

An autopsy was performed on Tuesday,but the Lehigh County coroner's office said the cause of death is pending toxicology results.

An investigation is underway by the Lehigh County coroner's office and the Allentown police.
