Police say driver suffers minor injuries in Palmer Township crash

PALMER TWP., Pa. - Police said the driver in a one-vehicle wreck that closed a portion of Park Avenue in Palmer Township Thursday morning suffered only minor injuries.

Northampton County emergency dispatch reported that the crash happened about 6:35 a.m. No one else besides the driver of the van was injured in the rollover.

The crash closed a portion of Park Avenue at the Hackett Avenue intersection. Park Avenue re-opened shortly before 8 a.m.

The wreck happened in the 2300 block of Park Avenue. Palmer Township police said the van collided with one vehicle, causing a chain-reaction. The vehicle struck by the van was pushed into another vehicle which struck a third vehicle.

Police are unclear about what caused the crash as the driver reported not remembering what happened. It does not appear that the driver will face any charges, according to police.
