WWII veteran laid to rest in Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - A WWII veteran was laid to rest Tuesday in Bethlehem.

Claude Fye Junior was buried at Memorial Park Cemetery. He served in the United States Army as a Private First Class from 1944 to 1946 in Germany.

He leaves behind a wife, Connie, of 60 years, and five adult children.

69 News has told you about the Fye family before:

Back in 2007, a memorial service was held at the same cemetery for Harold Fye, Claude's brother.

Harold went missing during the Korean War in 1950 and his remains were never found. A family friend lobbied to make the tribute happen all those years later.
