Lizak, Bradley bring home PIAA 3A state championships

Parkland's Ethan Lizak and Nazareth's Aaron Bradley each won gold at the PIAA 3A state championships in Hershey Saturday night.

Lizak earned a 3-1 decision over Norristown's Zack Fuentes in the 113-pound final.

It was the second straight state title for the junior, who took silver in 2011 as a freshman.

Bradley won by fall in the third period of the 285-pound final, beating Central Tech's Andrew Welton to win the gold.

Bradley had settled for silver last year, losing to Solanco's Thomas Haines.

Haines earned his third state championship on Saturday, beating Boyertown freshman Jordan Wood in the 220-pound final.

Norristown's Brett Harner lost 2-1 in an ultimate tiebreaker in the 182-pound final to Bald Eagle Area's Jacob Taylor.
