Local riders shine at U.S. Junior Nationals

U.S. Junior Nationals wrap up at Velodrome

Five local cyclists qualified for the Junior World Championships at the U.S. Junior National Championships at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center.

The Junior Nationals ran Thursday through Sunday at the Velodrome in Trexlertown.

Schnecksville's James Mellen, who won the 17-18 Sprint Final Friday night, was one of the qualifiers for Junior Worlds.

Fogelsville's Nadia Latzgo, Mertztown's Bailey Semian, Orefield's Tyler Nothstein, and Pittstown, New Jersey's Calan Farley also qualified.

The Junior World Championships will be held Aug. 7-11 in Glasgow, Scotland.
