Lower Merion upsets Chester for PIAA state title

Lower Merion upset nationally-ranked Chester 63-47 Saturday night for the PIAA 4A boys championship at the Giant Center.

The Aces win the seventh state championship in school history.

For Chester, which is ranked No. 1 in the state and No. 9 in the country, it snapped a 78-game winning streak against Pennsylvania teams.
