Man Found Guilty Of Campus Attack

READING, Pa. - A jury has convicted a man for assaulting a friend on the campus of Kutztown University.

Michael Marrone was found guilty of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and related counts.

His sentencing is scheduled for May 10.

Police said Marrone, 22, pushed Christine McGhee out of his truck and then dragged her through a university parking lot in December, 2008.

McGhee, 21, who was a student at K.U. at the time, suffered serious injuries.

A doctor testified yesterday that she is still unable to interact with her environment.

Police said Marrone, who was not a K.U. student, took off after the incident. He later surrendered to police.
