Man headed to trial on charges of shooting family's dogs

WEST VINCENT TWP., Pa. - A Chester County man is heading to trial on animal cruelty charges.

Gabriel Pilotti waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday.

Authorities said Pilotti admitted to shooting two Bernese mountain dogs in West Vincent Twp., Chester Co., last month.

Pilotti had claimed the dogs were chasing his sheep, but authorities said that wasn't the case.
