READING, Pa. - A Reading man was assaulted by a man waiting inside when he came home.

When the man entered his home in the 1100 block of North 12th Street around 11 p.m. Tuesday, a robber hit him in the head with a brick and tied him up, police said.

The robber stole keys to the victim's home and business, which was a store in the 1000 block of North 11th Street.

When police went to the store, it had been burglarized.

The victim was taken to the hospital with a skull fracture and underwent surgery for brain bleeding.

The victim told police he knew his attacker, but only by his first name.
