With 49 victims, Sunday's terrorist attack at an gay nightclub in Orlando now ranks as America's most deadly mass shooting. Take a look at some of the other worst mass shootings in U.S. history.

A gay nightclub in Orlando became the scene of the worst mass shooting event in U.S. history on Sunday when a gunman killed 49 people inside the Pulse club and at left at least 53 more injured. Law enforcement officials later identified the shooter as Omar Mateen of Ft. Pierce, Florida. Mateen died in a gun battle with law enforcement officers.
