McCollum out 8-10 weeks with broken foot

All-American guard C.J. McCollum will miss 8-10 weeks after breaking his foot in Lehigh's 59-55 loss at VCU Saturday night.

McCollum, who entered the game leading the nation in scoring at nearly 26 points per game, injured his foot late in the first half.

Trainers wrapped and bandaged his foot, and he spent the rest of the game on crutches on the bench.

McCollum was seen telling teammates on the sidelines, "I broke my foot."  Lehigh confirmed that assessment Sunday night.

The 8-10 week timetable means McCollum will likely miss the reste of the regular season.

Whether he'll be able to return for the Patriot League Tournament will likely depends on how quickly the foot heals.
