More arrests may be on way in beating death of Bucks County student

Perkasie native Kevin Figaniak died Sunday in W.V.

PERKASIE, Pa. - Officials in West Virginia said they are looking for one or two more people in connection with the death of a college student from Bucks County.

Wheeling police said there are no immediate pending arrests, but they have been looking for three or four individuals involved in the beating death of Kevin Figaniak.

Figaniak, 21, and a friend were walking in Wheeling early Saturday when the two apparently got into an argument on the street with other men.

Two men have been arrested: Jarrett Chandler, 24, of Winnfield, La., and Craig Peacock, 22, of Clewiston, Fla. and are facing second degree murder charges.

Figaniak was on the hockey and lacrosse teams at Wheeling Jesuit University.

A funeral Mass for Figaniak will be said Saturday, 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church, Route 152 and Broad Street, Hilltown. The family will greet friends from 8 to 9:45 a.m. before the service at the church.
